Updates the client state for the device user Note: This method is available only to customers who have one of the following SKUs: Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Enterprise for Education, and Cloud Identity Premium

Required Scalar Argument

<name> (string)

Output only. Resource name of the ClientState in format:
devices/{device_id}/deviceUsers/{device_user_id}/clientState/{partner_id}
, where partner_id corresponds to the partner storing the data. For partners belonging to the "BeyondCorp Alliance", this is the partner ID specified to you by Google. For all other callers, this is a string of the form:
{customer_id}-suffix
, where
customer_id
is your customer ID. The suffix is any string the caller specifies. This string will be displayed verbatim in the administration console. This suffix is used in setting up Custom Access Levels in Context-Aware Access. Your organization's customer ID can be obtained from the URL:
GET https://www.googleapis.com/admin/directory/v1/customers/my_customer
The
id
field in the response contains the customer ID starting with the letter 'C'. The customer ID to be used in this API is the string after the letter 'C' (not including 'C')

Required Request Value

The request value is a data-structure with various fields. Each field may be a simple scalar or another data-structure.
In the latter case it is advised to set the field-cursor to the data-structure's field to specify values more concisely.

For example, a structure like this:

GoogleAppsCloudidentityDevicesV1ClientState:
asset-tags: [string]
compliance-state: string
create-time: string
custom-id: string
etag: string
health-score: string
last-update-time: string
managed: string
name: string
owner-type: string
score-reason: string

can be set completely with the following arguments which are assumed to be executed in the given order. Note how the cursor position is adjusted to the respective structures, allowing simple field names to be used most of the time.

-r . asset-tags=no

The caller can specify asset tags for this resource

Each invocation of this argument appends the given value to the array.

compliance-state=stet

The compliance state of the resource as specified by the API client.

create-time=kasd

Output only. The time the client state data was created.

custom-id=et

This field may be used to store a unique identifier for the API resource within which these CustomAttributes are a field.

etag=sed

The token that needs to be passed back for concurrency control in updates. Token needs to be passed back in UpdateRequest

health-score=et

The Health score of the resource. The Health score is the callers specification of the condition of the device from a usability point of view. For example, a third-party device management provider may specify a health score based on its compliance with organizational policies.

last-update-time=et

Output only. The time the client state data was last updated.

managed=vero

The management state of the resource as specified by the API client.

name=erat

Output only. Resource name of the ClientState in format:
devices/{device_id}/deviceUsers/{device_user_id}/clientState/{partner_id}
, where partner_id corresponds to the partner storing the data.

owner-type=sed

Output only. The owner of the ClientState

score-reason=duo

A descriptive cause of the health score.

About Cursors

The cursor position is key to comfortably set complex nested structures. The following rules apply:

The cursor position is always set relative to the current one, unless the field name starts with the
.
character. Fields can be nested such as in
-r f.s.o
.

The cursor position is set relative to the top-level structure if it starts with
.
, e.g.
-r .s.s

You can also set nested fields without setting the cursor explicitly. For example, to set a value relative to the current cursor position, you would specify
-r struct.sub_struct=bar
.

You can move the cursor one level up by using
..
. Each additional
.
moves it up one additional level. E.g.
...
would go three levels up.

Optional Output Flags

The method's return value a JSON encoded structure, which will be written to standard output by default.

-o out

out specifies the destination to which to write the server's result to.
It will be a JSON-encoded structure.
The destination may be
-
to indicate standard output, or a filepath that is to contain the received bytes.
If unset, it defaults to standard output.

Optional Method Properties

You may set the following properties to further configure the call. Please note that
-p
is followed by one
or more key-value-pairs, and is called like this
-p k1=v1 k2=v2
even though the listing below repeats the

-p
for completeness.

-p customer=string

Optional. Resource name of the customer. If you're using this API for your own organization, use
customers/my_customer
If you're using this API to manage another organization, use
customers/{customer_id}
, where customer_id is the customer to whom the device belongs.

-p update-mask=string

Optional. Comma-separated list of fully qualified names of fields to be updated. If not specified, all updatable fields in ClientState are updated.
