<p>Updates an existing reservation resource.</p>
|
|
<h1 id="scopes">Scopes</h1>
|
|
<p>You will need authorization for at least one of the following scopes to make a valid call:</p>
|
|
<ul>
|
|
<li><em>https://www.googleapis.com/auth/bigquery</em></li>
|
|
<li><em>https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform</em></li>
|
|
</ul>
|
|
<p>If unset, the scope for this method defaults to <em>https://www.googleapis.com/auth/bigquery</em>.
|
|
You can set the scope for this method like this: <code>bigqueryreservation1 --scope <scope> projects locations-reservations-patch ...</code></p>

<h1 id="required-scalar-argument">Required Scalar Argument</h1>
|
|
<ul>
|
|
<li><strong><name></strong> <em>(string)</em><ul>
|
|
<li>The resource name of the reservation, e.g., <code>projects/*/locations/*/reservations/team1-prod</code>. For the reservation id, it must only contain lower case alphanumeric characters or dashes.It must start with a letter and must not end with a dash. Its maximum length is 64 characters.</li>
|
|
</ul>
|
|

</ul>

<h1 id="required-request-value">Required Request Value</h1>
|
|
<p>The request value is a data-structure with various fields. Each field may be a simple scalar or another data-structure.
|
|
In the latter case it is advised to set the field-cursor to the data-structure's field to specify values more concisely.</p>
|
|
<p>For example, a structure like this:</p>

<p>can be set completely with the following arguments which are assumed to be executed in the given order. Note how the cursor position is adjusted to the respective structures, allowing simple field names to be used most of the time.</p>

<li><code>-r . concurrency=duo</code><ul>
|
|
<li>Maximum number of queries that are allowed to run concurrently in this reservation. This is a soft limit due to asynchronous nature of the system and various optimizations for small queries. Default value is 0 which means that concurrency will be automatically set based on the reservation size.</li>
|
|
</ul>
|
|
</li>
|
|
<li><code>creation-time=sed</code><ul>
|
|
<li>Output only. Creation time of the reservation.</li>
|
|
</ul>
|
|
</li>
|
|
<li><code>ignore-idle-slots=true</code><ul>
|
|
<li>If false, any query or pipeline job using this reservation will use idle slots from other reservations within the same admin project. If true, a query or pipeline job using this reservation will execute with the slot capacity specified in the slot_capacity field at most.</li>
|
|
</ul>
|
|
</li>
|
|
<li><code>multi-region-auxiliary=true</code><ul>
|
|
<li>Applicable only for reservations located within one of the BigQuery multi-regions (US or EU). If set to true, this reservation is placed in the organization's secondary region which is designated for disaster recovery purposes. If false, this reservation is placed in the organization's default region.</li>
|
|
</ul>
|
|
</li>
|
|
<li><code>name=et</code><ul>
|
|

<li><code>slot-capacity=et</code><ul>
|
|
<li>Minimum slots available to this reservation. A slot is a unit of computational power in BigQuery, and serves as the unit of parallelism. Queries using this reservation might use more slots during runtime if ignore_idle_slots is set to false. If the new reservation's slot capacity exceed the project's slot capacity or if total slot capacity of the new reservation and its siblings exceeds the project's slot capacity, the request will fail with <code>google.rpc.Code.RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED</code>. NOTE: for reservations in US or EU multi-regions slot capacity constraints are checked separately for default and auxiliary regions. See multi_region_auxiliary flag for more details.</li>
|
|

<li><code>update-time=vero</code><ul>
|
|
<li>Output only. Last update time of the reservation.</li>
|
|
</ul>
|
|

<h3 id="about-cursors">About Cursors</h3>
|
|
<p>The cursor position is key to comfortably set complex nested structures. The following rules apply:</p>
|
|
<ul>
|
|
<li>The cursor position is always set relative to the current one, unless the field name starts with the <code>.</code> character. Fields can be nested such as in <code>-r f.s.o</code> .</li>
|
|
<li>The cursor position is set relative to the top-level structure if it starts with <code>.</code>, e.g. <code>-r .s.s</code></li>
|
|
<li>You can also set nested fields without setting the cursor explicitly. For example, to set a value relative to the current cursor position, you would specify <code>-r struct.sub_struct=bar</code>.</li>
|
|
<li>You can move the cursor one level up by using <code>..</code>. Each additional <code>.</code> moves it up one additional level. E.g. <code>...</code> would go three levels up.</li>
|
|
</ul>
|
|
<h1 id="optional-output-flags">Optional Output Flags</h1>
|
|
<p>The method's return value a JSON encoded structure, which will be written to standard output by default.</p>
|
|
<ul>
|
|
<li><strong>-o out</strong><ul>
|
|
<li><em>out</em> specifies the <em>destination</em> to which to write the server's result to.
|
|
It will be a JSON-encoded structure.
|
|
The <em>destination</em> may be <code>-</code> to indicate standard output, or a filepath that is to contain the received bytes.
|
|
If unset, it defaults to standard output.</li>
|
|
